Our virtual campus concept is much more than the traditional independent on-line learning that most programs offer. This program focuses on blended learning, where the participant will combine independent study with group discussions and activities. Virtual campus activities will include guest faculty from all aspects of the travel industry, delivering topics such as Travel Salesmanship 101 – Help people buy you before the travel product you are selling and Close the sale: Position yourself as an expert.

Guest speaker presentations will be recorded and made available on the Learning Portal to program participants unable to attend live. Virtual campus activities also include live interactive webinars, group discussion or projects with other Travel Leaders of Tomorrow participants.

Optional field training opportunities such as ship inspections, industry conferences and events, destination and product immersion experiences will be offered as available.

The curriculum for the Travel Leaders of Tomorrow program has been broken into 4 core modules. GDS training can be arranged by request and an optional 5th module that includes resume tips, mentoring and guidance on finalizing your career path.

Core modules and sample coursework:
Module One: Exploring the World of Travel– Welcome to the Travel Industry, Geography, Travel Technology and Qualifying the Client
Module Two: The Product Part One – Rail, Car rentals, Accommodations, Air, Travel Insurance and Introduction to Cruises
Module Three: The Product Part Two and Destination – World Geography, Cruising destinations, Tours and Packages
Module Four: The Product Part Three, Destination and the Travel Workplace – Cruises, Destinations of choice, Marketing, Strategies for Success, and Making the Sale
Optional modules:
Mentoring with a Travel Professional – Included in the program and arranged during Module Four
Resume’ and interview tips – Included in the program and available by request
GDS Training – Arranged by request and depending on the situation there may be a cost
